Sorry I've been lagging with the videos, I've been relaxing with family. I'll make up for it with a junkyard photo mega dump. Today I went to Adler's Antique Autos in Stephentown, NY. They had a ton of awesome American sheet metal. Enjoy, I know I did.

You did, Wisconsin went by very quickly. I did Rochester MN to Kalamazoo MI in one day. I don't think I even stopped for gas or food in Wisconsin.

It's sorta annoying actually, there is very little snow at Jiminy Peak, which is like 15 minutes from me. I want to ski.

Same feelings here, I got new cross country skis for christmas and there's not any snow. It's actually quite odd. How'd you come through NY? 104 to 90?

Drove though Canada, 190 to 90. I did Detroit to Williamstown, MA in one day so I didn't take the time to do any sideroads.

Ah, so you wouldn't have driven past me anyway. 104 runs right through where I live. It's a small little town on Lake Ontario, not much to write home about but it's my home. Not much to see from 90 though, I guess you kinda got to see part of the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge and the outside of the Waterloo Outlet Mall. I don't think you can see Syracuse from the Thruway. If you ever get a chance you should definitely drive through the finger lakes area and the Adirondacks, beautiful areas.

Yeah, I guess if it was just easier you had to do it. NY is a state that you could make a good couple week vacation out of. The city isn't the most amazing thing ever. As a New Yorker it's nice to visit occasionally, but it becomes a nuisance since every single out of stater thinks you're from the city when you say you're from NY. I'm sure you'll enjoy it though.

It looks like they've got things pretty well segregated between the rough but potentially restorable and the parts-only, which is the kind of care and attention to detail you just don't get at the high turnover scrap metal yards. Being upstate New York, the vast majority of these probably wound up there for underbody corrosion issues as opposed to anything mechanical, so I'm sure there's quite a few intact looking bodies with rotted nightmares hiding underneath.

I will say that, for whatever reason, in these older yards, it always seems like the Ramblers wind up being the most intact looking. They seem to hold up pretty well over time.

Just beautiful. This is how big NY state is, I'm over in the fingerlakes and I'm all like wtf is over there...awe I miss being a drunken mess at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, that's kinda around there . Know what I'm doing next time my friends drag me to another Phish show.
